Willowbot — Privacy Policy

This privacy policy describes how Willowbot ("the Application") collects, uses, and handles data accessed through the Google API Services.

1. What the Application Does

Willowbot is a private, single-household automation assistant. It is not a commercial product and is not available to the public. It runs on a private server operated exclusively by the owner of this application.

2. Google API Data Accessed

The Application requests access to the following Google APIs on behalf of the account owner only:

- Google Calendar API — to read upcoming calendar events for use in a daily household digest.

- Google Tasks API — to read and create task entries for personal household reminders.

3. How Data Is Used

Calendar and Tasks data is retrieved solely to generate a private daily summary delivered to the account owner via a private Telegram bot. Data is processed on a private Raspberry Pi server located at the owner's residence. No data is stored permanently beyond what Google retains in the user's own Google account.

4. Data Sharing

No calendar, task, or personal data accessed through Google APIs is shared with any third party, sold, or used for advertising. The Application does not transmit Google user data to any external service except as necessary to generate AI-assisted summaries using the Google Gemini API, which is subject to Google's own privacy policy and API data usage terms.

5. Data Retention

The Application does not persist Google user data beyond the duration of a single session. OAuth tokens are stored locally on the private server and are used exclusively to authenticate API requests on behalf of the account owner.

6. User Control

The account owner may revoke access at any time via Google Account Permissions at myaccount.google.com/permissions.
